How We Built Them (Construction Secrets)

We crafted these curved round doors using time-honoured traditional door-building techniques combined with our own modular system. The frame is precision-formed from sustainably sourced Douglas Fir timber, joined with classic mortice and tenon joints and bonded using high-strength external-grade glue. For superb thermal efficiency the door is double-glazed, while every surface – inside and out – is fully coated in a tough two-part epoxy marine-grade sealant that protects against the British weather for years to come. We finished them with elegant black ironmongery and a secure 5-lever sash lock, delivering that enchanting woodland-burrow magic with real strength, security and effortless seasonal maintenance.
